Thinking of my Mother

Thinking of my Mother. by Mary Stebbins Taitt. My mother loved to throw rose petals up in the air and watch them fall against the blue blue sky. She loved blowing bubbles, she loved singing, and she loved little children. So this is for her.

This is a bright and cheerful image. She would have liked it, I am certain.

This is beautiful! Your posts about your mother are inspiring me to do one for my mother who is slowly dying from alzheimers. Thankyou

Thank you so much Sara, Blue Rose, and Marie for your kind comments!

Yes, I think Mom would have liked this.

And yes, Marie, I do understand. Thank you.

Blue Rose, I am so sorry about your Mom. My Mom had dementia, too, and it was sad to watch a once super, funny, creative and intelligent woman forget almost everything. Except she retained her sense of humor 'til the end and often still recognized us (at least as soemone she loved). I send you love and warm wishes.

I am so sorry Pea that you are still missing your father. I still miss mine, too, and he died in 1998. And I miss my Mom--LOTS! My thoughts and prayers are with you!
