These are nice... I like the squash best, I think, just because the texture of the skin is so pronounced. I wasn't able to identify it by sight until I read the caption.

Dear Mary,
Did I tell you I was a potter and a sculptor in a "former life" ?

I used to be inspired by nature. The convolutions of a cabbage cut into two pieces, the inside of an onion, and especially small mushrooms (or fungi).

The painting of your daughter was made from "scratch," not from a photo, wasn't it? I find it very beautiful.

That middle one really creeps me out. It's really fleshy ... eeek! Nice job.

I really like these macro shots! I think the squash picture is very dramatic and gets your attention--a good thing in photography!

Thanks so much Sara, Marie, Andrea and Katie! I really appreciate your kind comments.

I love the way cabbages look when cut! So cool, onions too!

Unfortunately, Marie, I am sorry to say that the picture of my daughter Erin was painted from a photo.
