Self Portrait in Snow

Self Portrait in Snow, by Mary Stebbins Taitt. There is a story to go with this picture. My mother died on Tuesday. I'm walking through a blizzard to bring her a rose. This rose is for my mother, because I love her and miss her. I love you, Mom.

And I love you, too.

Oh mon Dieu, did she die this week? Bon courage, Mary, I understand what you must be feeling although I lost my mother long ago. That reminds me of Edge of Glass.

I am very sorry for you.

Yes, She died early the morning of Tuesday the 16th of January. It was unexpected, though she had been slowly dwindling.

Thank you for your kind words and thoughts. Yes, I read that poem at a reading two nights ago and thought of you!

:( So So Sad. Im so sorry.. I can only imagine what it feels like. just imagining it makes me want to cry. SO SORRY!!!! :( :( She is in a better place now though.. maybe a beautiful place like colorado(like were were talking about).. but of course a million times better.. better than we can even dream of... Having the best time ever! Someday we will be there too. But of course you still miss her. Just keep your smiles through the blizzards.
