Hi Mary,

Sorry, but I did not see this one yet I think I looked at the last post.... This chick make's me wondering:
"is it a painting or is it photography?" That I don't know it, that makes it impressive. The soft pastel-colours match all very well, the pink, orange, and yellows, the whites stayed clear also.. The green background makes the picture really complete and that you choose to crop ( not a full chicken) the chicken makes it perfect!

Very well done, but is this chicken a painted drwing, or else? If its a photograph, the wow! this is relly confusing me...

JoAnn , with compliments:)

Hi JoAnn, This is a smudge painting made entirely from a digitally altered photograph. The entire thing is then repainted with a smudge brush. It's "Photoart" or compositing, some people call it, but it is really kind of beyond that because I physically painted over it stroke by stroke. Sort of like the old "paint by numbers" except that I took the photo, I manipulated the photo, and then I painted over it, so it is all my work.

I am glad you like it. :-D Mary

Don't know if this image was purchased from you, but thought you'd want to know if it wasn't. http://stat.fsu.edu/~chicken/
