Hands Reaching for God

Hands Reaching for God, by Mary Stebbins Taitt. Sculpture in an Italian Church. In Europe, there were lovely churches and religious sculptures in every small town.

This is just the sort of contemporary, iconic art that would drag me back to church. I think. A very nice photograph here, Mary ... I love it!

Thanks so much Marie and Mick for your kind comments! Marie, I could understand you! YAY!

I loved the churches in Europe and loved that you could walk into most of them and photograph.

When I lived in San Francisco in the 60s, I used to sleep in Catholic churches because they were left open all night. Where I live now, most churches are kept locked. too sad.
