A note on the banner: when I switched over to the new Blogger and new blogger template, I lost my old banner. I couldn't reuse the old one because they didn't give me the option of placing it above the words--it could be under them or replace them, but not the way it was before. I was sad to lose the old banner and my attempts to replace it have been somewhat feeble so far. After multiple other versions, I think I will keep this one for a while unless I have an inspiration, because I have other things to do besides designing banners. I wish I had somehow saved the old one.
