Anti-Homage to the Emerald Ash Borer

This is a "finger-painting" in "brushes" on my iPad of the view from the window of my studio. The tree in the foreground is a white ash which is dying as a result of the emerald ash borer. The painting was made at night, and the lower dead branches appeared bright, whereas the upper ones were dark. Click image to view larger.

Very creative and very dramatic. Great job with the different shades. I'm glad you explained the lower, dead branches.

Thanks, Jacob--The tree seems to die from the outside in.

Hi Mary - re your comment on that wild car on Ocala DP. I was just a bit antsy taking the picture...pulled up in a driveway off of a busy street. The other side of the car has a slew of Islamic slogans. It's very weird. I didn't want to hang around so I grabbed a couple of shots and left.
