Red Hibiscus Painting

Red Hibiscus painting, by Mary Stebbins Taitt. Click image to view larger. I smudge-painted this yesterday by hand on the computer while driving to and from the corn maze (an hour or so each way) and then fininshed it at home. It probably took a little over three hours.

The first thing that struck me was the purple highlights. I love it!

hi Mary,

its nice to see your creative blog again ( i was busy last days as you perhaps noticed) thats a co- incident.... becuase we both posted today the same kind of "hibiscus" flowers ,

only I posted 3 colours of this flower in a collage , the colours: salmon , red and white.

Thanks again for your award, I posted it in my sidebar and on my todays post:)

Did you drive and draw at the same time. I really hope that somebody else was doing the driving.

How much to buy it?

I could only sell a print.

It would depend on the size. Let me know if you are interested in a print.

Also, I could submit it to Imagekind if you wanted it framed, or I could have a framed, or you could frame it.
