In the Forest 2: After Love, by Mary Stebbins Taitt. Click image to view larger.This is part of my Vera House Series. In this image I imagine the woman left in the woods after a rape. The word "love" in the title refers to lovemaking or sex, an act which should be respectful and beautiful. Through rape and sometimes murder, certain men defile both women and all that is sacred and beautiful.
