"White sheets rumpled on my abandoned bed" is the poetry quote that springs to mind (I know not now where I picked it up, but it seems appropriate here). This shot has such quiet balance, yet it tugs your perception into motion, left to right, upper left to lower right, all the makings of an artwork to contemplate. Somehow it isn't complacent, like looking down at the past and viewing it as a temporary act... it says to me, "that was then, now what is your NOW?"

Maybe everything needs a context, but that is my mind and the way it works... what I see is always first interpreted based on my present state of mind... I was just a moment ago discussing a new career with my friend Andree when you made this posting, Mary, and it fell into our discussion in a very meaningful way, for me... what is my now? where am I to go? what will I do?

What a lovely photo. Nature surely is talented and you have a wonderful eye for catching her at work.

You'd think by this time of year, I'd be sick of seeing snow, but this really is a beautiful photo.

Earth hour coming up in just a few minutes so I will have to stop blogging!
