Beamer's Barn
Beamer's Barn, by Mary Stebbins Taitt. This old barn was located across the street from Beamer's Falls about 8 miles east of Hamilton.

Considering that it must be abandoned now, it still has a sort of cozy look. That feeling must come from the colors. I like this scene very much.
Thanks so much, Mick. I've discovered you can open ordinary (nonraw) pix in the raw dialogue of Photoshop CS3 and tweak the colors just a froghair for a sweet look. Raw manipulated photos all have a certain look to them--different than other photoshop pix--I can't quite put my finger on it yet. I didn't change it much, just a bit.
I am not sure we've been there in the summer--we always go in November to celebrate the anniversary of choosing to court each other.
I bet it would be pretty in Spring, summer, early fall (when there are leaves) and winter (when there is snow). If I ever go back another time, I'll send another postcard.

Thanks so much, Bobbie. I like it too. I messed with the colors slightly. It was a very dark rainy day and they were a little dull.
This photograph is exquisite, Mary. I like everything about. As bobbie says, I believe the cozy feelings do come from the colors.

This is a very pleasing scene, lovely photo.

Ah Mary....great barn shot... the trees have no leaves...I wonder what it would look like in the spring/summer??
