I love the function as well as beauty of these windows. In this country, one could almost forget that shutters have a purpose aside from decoration. I want shutters that work or none at all.

Yay! I want real shutters. How cool would that be?!

That wall color is the color I painted my kitchen and dining room.

All the shutters everywhere I went in Europe all actually work! And not only that, they use them--the shut them when the sun is shining on that side of the building, or when they want extra privacy. The slats keep out the sun but let in the air. USA is annoying in the way they use fake shutters. They ought to shut. Old ones in New England did, to keep out storms, for one thing.

Thanks so much, Steve! :-)

I appreciate your kindness--and I love the colors of the Mediterranean!

Oh... I love this. I adore photos of windows... they remind me that no matter what, there's always a way out. Beautiful.
