Not a fractal in Blue

Not a fractal in Blue, "Tangled up in Blue," or, "Into the Snake Pit," by Mary Stebbins Taitt. Dedicated to: D1 and Pam for their upcoming birthdays Saturday, Blue Rose for cheering, Mick and Andree for fractals, BB because I love him even when I am annoyed, and to Bob Dylan and Joan D. Vinge for Tangled up in Blue. I made this in Photoshop just now, it's not a fractal but a sort of fractal wannabe. Please click this to view it larger. It needs to be seen bigger.

Crossing the Fractal Moon

Crossing the Fractal Moon, by Mary Stebbins Taitt.

I made a fractal flame in Apophysis, a free download (try Oxidizer if your own a MAC), and then fiddled with the fractal first on Irfanview (a free download) and then on Photoshop. Then I created a digital collage in photoshop. Creative Every Day Challenge #1.

Fractal Flame Fireworks Flowers

Fractal Flame Fireworks Flowers, by Mary Stebbins Taitt. These are Oxidizer fractal flames modified in Photoshop. I haven't gotten the hang of Oxidizer yet. You can see the "out-of-the-box" version here. Thanks to meeyauw for her tutorial located here. Sooner or later I will get it!

Not a fractal in Green

Not a fractal in Green, by Mary Stebbins Taitt. I have trouble with
the fractal programs still, so I tried to make one myself in
photoshop.

Friday Fractal: At the Chiffon Palace

At the Chiffon Palace, fractal manipulation by Mary Stebbins Taitt. With the aid of Apophysis open source software obtained by a link on Andree's page.

Friday Fractal

Hennie's Fractal

I made this fractal for Hennie. It's sort of similar to the one I
made for Aya, though I started from scratch, but the colors are chose
for Hennie. I guess I was thinking of her red hair, freckles and
peachy skin. And colors that would go well with that combination.
This is for the collection I've started for Hennies pocket.

Subtraction: Dream of the Waning Blood Moon

Subtraction: Dream of the Waning Blood Moon, By Mary Stebbins Taitt. Cartoon, for Illustration Friday. Question: When something is taken away, does something else fill its place? When do dreams go when they are subtracted from the night?

Today's work, in part from a fractal created on Apophysis (A free download for PCs*) and in part with cartoon images my creation.

*(Oxidizer and FractalWorks are free fractal downloads for Macs)

Self Portrait of the Artist as Lizard Woman

Self Portrait of the Artist as Lizard Woman, by Mary Stebbins Taitt.
With fractal from Fractal works buried n her skin.

Not Fractals: Jacob's Ladder, Hot Air Balloon

Jacob's Ladder, Hot Air Balloon, Two Pieces of Abstract Art Created by
me, Mary Stebbins Taitt, on Photoshop using various distortions to
attempt to create a fractal without using a fractal program. These
two were both made from the same starting image, which I created from
scratch in photoshop..

Fractal Flame from Apophysis

Fractal Flame from Apophysis--right out of the box--I love it, but
couldn't get it back to play with it any more. Click here to see a Photoshop-edited version. Apophysis keeps crashing on me and losing my work--my computer may be too old for it.

Friday Fractal Thursday

Made these two with Fractalworks.

The Great Fish of Fear

The Great Fish of Fear, by me, Mary Stebbins Taitt.

I'm not sure I am done with this, but no time work on it now!

Memories: From a Memory of Dreams I

From a Memory of Dreams I, by Mary Stebbins Taitt. For Illustration Friday and for my Bloggy Friend jo(e) who has nightmares about snakes. (So do I sometimes). (But I like snakes.) The altered version of the fractal posted below is one of the layers in the image. This is a brand new piece today that I did for this challenge and for jo(e).

Not a flower Julia Flower

I "made" this on FractalWorks, thanks to Andree for turning me on to it. Then I fiddled with it on Photoshop a little, including posterizing it a little. It is the 3D view of a portion of a Julia
fractal flower. FractalWorks is only available for Macs--and it is a real time sink because it is endlessly fascinating.

Electrogirl's Electrovision glasses

Electrogirl and her Electrovision Glasses, by Mary Stebbins Taitt.

The girl started from a coloring page. I colored her and changed her some.

The electrical flower is what she sees through her special Ellectrovision goggles--the electricity in all things. Digitally manipulated photograph with Apophysis fractal flame superimposed. Do click on it to see it larger.

For Illustration Friday.

Fractal Friday Wednesday

One of the many new factals I made in FractalWorks.

Fears about Fat (Manhattan Acid)
