You are an amazing photographer! I am so impressed, and excited to have the chance to go on stormy walks with you and walks that are peopled by characters that you are a character in their walks.... around and around the dream is woven:)))
Also reading your Hog story in bits and pieces...yes we are here, peering through your eyes...listening, savoring. Thank you for your effort!!
This photo is a treasure as so many of your's are.

Lovely colour contrast here between the lake water and the sky, very nice shot.

WOW! Thank you both for your kind and generous comments! I really appreciate it.

Steveo, one of the reasons I took this shot was my fascination with the layers of color. Nice of you to notice.

And Idahl, I have to tell you, if you return here, that I had a computer death and all my work on the Hog Island story was lost. I have since been unable to go back to it. I hope to muster the strength and courage. I lost a number of novels I was working on, and a poetry book manuscript, and since then, I have only been able to do new work. I hope to be able to get back in the saddle as they say. It is hard to recover something you worked on when it disappears into cyberspace and only wisps and fragments remain.

You know what they say(and this time it's all too true) it's not "if" it is "when". So back up, back up, back up!!
We've all lost data:)))) It's our "big fish" that got away:).
Sorry for your loss though, I've had it happen more than once and it does take the wind out of your sails.

Me too. More than one loss, that is. The computer lost it's ability to save stuff, lost the driver for the CD burner before it died. I do have a old hard drive though, maybe someday I will spring to have it recovered.

Meanwhile, I am trying to back up daily or nearly so--and using the blogs to back up somethings too. (This was the largest amount I ever lost at once--everything!) {or so it seemed.}

But I am continuing on with new work apace, just haven't returned to the old stuff yet.

I love your work! :-) Mary :-)

Actually, I meant basically to warn you that the Hog Island story stops suddenly and does not yet continue.

Magical photo -- such atmosphere and that tree almost looks as if it's posing. I have now subscribed so won't lose you again ... I hope ...

Thanks, Andrea, I don't know how to do that yet, subscribe, I mean. Or what it means exactly. Sounds like a good idea. Mary :-)
