Homeless and Hungry #100726-1313

I thought I would continue the theme I seem to be going with of homelessness. If hunger goes too far . . .

Taking Homes from the Homeless #100721A

Sam and Keith are talking to Dale, a homeless man in Detroit, about where he sleeps in the winter (an empty deserted factory) and how he eats and stays warm. This is a companion piece to the one I posted yesterday. It's on the facing page.

Taking Homes from the Homeless

If anyone knows Detroit, this is down near Eastern Market--it was a few years go. The bundle under the bridge is Dale's belongings. Now it is my understnding they made a walking trail there, so where is DALE? Where is he living? It's cold in Detroit in the winter--and hot in the summer.

Pen and ink and water color.

Blind Drawing of BB, painted

I made a blind drawing of BB and then painted it (not blind).

Crosswinds

A watercolor sketch of the deck at Crosswinds Restuarant in Whitehall, Michigan, made while eating there on vacation. It did not fit entirely on the scanner. See earlier version here.

Digital Iris Painting

Iris, by Mary Stebbins Tait. I've been trying to learn to do art on
the iPad, because I took it with me camping. Today, I am home--came
home a week early due to medical issues. So I did a digital smudge
painting on the real computer, with the cintique tablet--I've got a
lot more control! I can do much finer detail!!! LOL! (What a
difference). I wonder if they wil have software for the iPad that
comes closer to this.
