No Way Out

No way out is an abstract sketch drawn in Tami's sketchbook for a sketchbook exchange. I also did some more work on Autumn Lane. I thought it was done earlier but decided it wasn't. I hope it's done now!

4 new sketches

These are by me in Tami's skecthbook for my second sketchbook exchange group. They are composed entirely of dots (and a few accidental dashes when the car went over a bump). Sometimes the only time I have to do art is in the car while BB drive PB to piano or such.

1. Self-portrait of the artist as a cat
2. detail from Self-portrait of the artist as a cat
3. Hennie Mavis's cat and mine
4. An autumn lane

Harvest

Harvest, by Mary Stebbins Taitt. I suppose this is the quintessential cliche of autumn, but I couldn't resist. In Mike Kline's Big Book. Polychromos pencils and graphite pencil.

{And let me tell you, the scan is terrible! I the barn is red, the sky is blue. (all those nice clicheed colors!) Oh well.}

I am leaving Thursday for 4-days at a poetry conference/retreat/workshop in
Harbor Springs, MI.

Sugary

Sugary (Cotton Candy), by Mary Stebbins Taitt, for Illustration Friday's Sugary Challenge. In Sketchboook, from sketchbook exchange, pen and ink.

When I think of sugary, I think of cotton candy, which I haven't had since I was a kid. I did this brand new tonight.

YAY! I got an award.

Wahoo! Blue Rose gave me an artblog award! Thank you, Blue Rose, I am truly honored! In a short time, I will return and list some awardees for my award. There are a huge number of very deserving people with wonderful artblogs. Hard decisions. These are the ones I picked. Blue Rose, Mick Mather, Andrea, and Jim Doran.

And here is their award, I hope the originator of the award doesn't mind that I made it a little different for those who've won more than one.
