Art, photoart and Photography by me. Imagik = image magic. Magic is the effect that image-play has on me. I hope to share that. Images, eclectic, whatever turns me on at the moment. My creative play. To say it, cross imagination with magic.

The Fire-starter
The Fire-starter, by Mary Stebbins Taitt. (new version.)
He was a preacher who took pictures of Native Indians during the beginning of the century.
In fact, as we say in French, chacun ses goƻts... I love his pictures because of the sepia " ambiance "... Try to get his work through the net and let me know what you think about it.
This one is one of the most powerful you made.
ReplyDeleteIs the man Indian ? Are you familiar with the work of Edward Curtis ?
The man is acting the part of an Indian and familiar with Indian ways, but I think he is Caucasian.
ReplyDeleteHe did actually start that fire with flint and iron. I watched him do it.
No I don't think so, doesn't ring a bell.
