Sweet Senescence, by Mary Stebbins Taitt.
For my Mom. A smudge-brush painting from a photo. I hand painted this over a photo, changing it from
the original. It may not look that different and it may not seem like much, but it took me weeks to do. (Click image to view larger, click again to view larger yet.)
I think it's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteTHANKS so much, it was a really lot of work and I am not done with it yet.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Erin. It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThere is an incredible difference between this and the original. This one is so much more vibrant. Richer, with more depth.
ReplyDeleteI might not have good words here, but I really like it!
Oh yes there is a big difference with the original. It's very beautiful. What patience that must require!
ReplyDeleteThe painting is so full of light and colors. Quite different from the original.

ReplyDeleteThanks so much jo(e), Sara, Marie, Bearuh for your super kind comments. It does take a lot of time and patience. And each time I do one, I learn more about it.
