Rivulet Between Two Ponds

Rivulet Between Two Ponds, Photo by Mary Stebbins. Click on image to see larger or visit BP.

f/3.5, 1/50s, late afternoon in October at the Dodge Poetry Festival in NJ. Taken with the camera that recently got run over by a snowplow and crushed. Keith has it all apart and is going to try to fix it. I'm exploring other seasons, LOL, as this one is rather dismal. Posted by Picasa

Frogbit Door

Frogbit Door, by Mary Stebbins. The frogbit entering the door was made into a stamp and stampted in different colors and sizes on the wall and then a door was cut in the wall and opened for the frogbit to come in. As always, click on image to see larger. Posted by Picasa

Glamor

Glamor, by Mary Stebbins. Glamor is tweezed eyebrows, fake eyelashes, sparkly jewelry and stiletto heels. I did this in rough lines and off colors because I feel that glamor is something fake people try to apply to themselves and our natural "animal" state is preferable. Glamor is an illusion some struggle to maintain. Posted by Picasa

Hard Rain on the Maine Coast, for Illustration Friday

Hard Rain on the Maine Coast, Photo by Mary Stebbins. This is my brother, Tom. Click on photo to see larger. For Illustration Friday.

This was taken at Fort Williams near the Portland Headlight in a very hard, cold rain. The rain did not show well and I added soft pastels effect on PS to make it more visible.
