Kensington Bay, my first two shot digital Orton
Kensington Bay, by Mary Stebbins Taitt. This is my first two-shot digital Orton. The earlier ones were sadwiches from a single shot with a duplicate blurred layer. I haven't decided if I like this or not. I sort of do and sort of don't.
I like it! It is a wonderful tapestry of colour! Maybe not the most fantastic composition ever but apart from chopping down those leafless trees and gettilng a view further up the lake I don't know what else you could have done about that. It seems to me though that most of the examples I have seen are a lot brighter than this. But that does not necessarily mean they are better.
It was late in the evening, and I didn't want to make it too bright when in reality, it was so darkly somber. Did I mention it was raining hard and very windy? Thanks for the visit and comment. :-)

ReplyDeleteyes, exactly. Same with those New England asters. I suppose I should photograph something brighter, but it's been dismal and rainy and dark here!
ReplyDeleteThe bright yellow and red gives to your picture a contrasting feeling between cold and warm.
